Distances: This event will feature a one mile fun run, a 5k, half marathon of 13.1 miles, a marathon of 26.2 miles. Both courses are certified by USATF, and are qualifiers for the Boston Marathon.
Relay Division: There will be a 2-person relay for the half marathon.
Race Date: Sunday, March 12-13, 2022
Start time: 7AM, We encourage all participants to be at the starting line in their corrals at least 15 minutes prior. There will not be an early start for any reason. This is for the safety of all participants. Unfortunately, we are unable to grant any exceptions to this.
Start/Finish Line: Jefferson St, Downtown Lafayette, Louisiana. Both the start and finish line areas will be secure areas, only runners with bibs will be allowed in these areas. Click Here for Directions.
Hydration Stations: Aid stations with water and Powerade will be located on the course, approximately every 1.5 Miles.
Corrals: We will have corrals organized by average pace in 30 second intervals.
Timing: This race will be chip timed. A electronic tag will track your timing, the tag remains attached to your bib.
Packet Pickup: Packet pick up will be at the Packet Pickup Party only. Friday, March 11th, 2022 from 3pm to 8pm & Saturday, March 12th from 7am to 7pm
The Packet Pickup Party will be held at the Rock n’ Bowl de Lafayette, located at 905 Jefferson St, Lafayette, LA 70501.

Gear Check: Gear Check will open up at 5:30am on the morning of the race. Location of gear check will inside Parc International. A numbered tear off tab will be included on your race bib that will be used to identify your bag. We do not recommend that you store valuables in your gear check bag.
Bathrooms: Portolets will be located inside Parc International and along the parking garage next to Parc San Souci close to the start line.
Pace Groups: We will not have pacers for 2021 due to social distancing.

Elevation Gain: Full Marathon 348 ft | Half Marathon 174 ft
Course Support: There will be a combination of volunteers & local law enforcement along the course.
Road Closures: See course maps for streets along the route.
Discarded Clothing: All discarded clothing along the course will be collected and donated to local homeless shelters.
Parking information will be available in the race guide. There will be no shuttles this year.

Late Registration: Only paper registration will be available at packet pickup at the expo.
Deadline: Packet pickup is the last chance for registration. We will close packet pickup at 8pm. There will be no registration on the day of the race.
Confirmation: There will be confirmation support through Run Sign Up’s website once registration has started.
Deferral Policy: There will be a $25 fee to defer registration to the next year’s race. Deadline for deferral is March 10, 2021 at midnight. Once deferred, the registrant is ineligible for the following year’s early registration promos, and the items (Shirt, Bib etc) from the deferred year’s race are forfeited. Registrants may only defer one consecutive year. Instructions on how to defer your registration. Click on Manage Registration in your confirmation email to login to your profile. Choose Defer Registration and follow instructions.
All registration items must be picked up at the expo, we cannot mail your items to you.
No Refund Policy: Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate, you may not give or sell your race number to anyone else, and you may not transfer your entry fee to future races. In the event that our race has to be canceled due to Covid-19 state/parish mandates, we will defer all participants to our 2022 race or attempt to reschedule for a later date in the year.
The deadline is February 16, 2021 to be guaranteed a t-shirt with your registration.

Note: If you do not want to stick around after the race we will have awards available for pickup at Geaux Run. If you live outside of Lafayette we will mail them to you.
UPGRADE from the Half Marathon to the Full Marathon – There will be a fee to upgrade from the Half Marathon to the Full Marathon to make up for the cost difference between the two distances. The deadline to upgrade is March 10, 2021. To switch, click on Manage Registration in your confirmation email to login to your profile. Choose Transfer Event and follow instructions.
DOWNGRADE for the Full Marathon to the Half Marathon – There are no refunds given to downgrade from the Full Marathon to the Half Marathon. There may be a fee if the cost difference is greater for the Half than you paid for the Full at the time of the original registration. The deadline to downgrade is March 10, 2021. To switch, click on Manage Registration in your confirmation email to login to your profile. Choose Transfer Event and follow instructions.
Age Requirements: On the day of the race participants must meet the minimum age requirements. Half Marathon Participants must be at least 13 years old on the day of the race to participate. Full Marathon participants must be at least 18 years old on race day to participate
Refunds: Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate, you may not give or sell your race number to anyone else, and you may not transfer your entry fee to future races.
Readiness: You must be in good health and physically prepared to take on the challenge of a Marathon or Half Marathon.
Identification: You must show photo ID to receive your race number and timing chip. You must pick up your own race packet and race number.
Race Numbers: Race numbers are required to participate.
Effort: The effort must be your own. No coaches, handcycles, bikes, in-line skates, skateboards, baby joggers or dogs will be allowed on the course.
Time Limit: Official time limit for the Full Marathon will be 6 hours. Official time limit for the Half Marathon will be 4 hours. You must be able to complete which ever race you’re participating in within this limit. There will be no exceptions for any reason. After these time limits expire the course will be opened up to traffic and course support will not be available.
A medical tent will be provided along the course and will be staffed with volunteer medical professionals.
Information Booths will be positioned at the start and finish to assist you with any race day questions and help you find your way. The Information Booths will also serve as the race day Lost & Found. Any valuables found at the start or finish should be turned in to the Information Booth. Items from the start will be transported to the finish.
Lost Items: Any valuable items NOT claimed at the finish by 3 pm will be moved off site and held for 3 days before being turned over to police.
Race Photography will be provided by Your Sporting Image. Photo’s will be available for sale through the Your Sporting Image website.
